What is The MOSAIC Helpline?
ā
-
A youth services info line for parents or guardians to ask mental health questions, receive support, and get connected to services in the community.
āā
-
Families can reach out 24/7 for youth needs from routine to crisis.
āā
-
If your child or family is experiencing a distressing situation and you need help right away, you will be connected with the Mobile Response Team (family peer supporter and licensed therapist) that can come to your home or location within one hour to provide immediate assistance and support!
The Mosaic Helpline is a central phone number that any Union County parent or primary caregiver who has a question about resources or services can call. It may be for support or education around small, but important, issues or something much bigger - such as a youth dealing with depression, anxiety, identity struggles, or feeling suicidal. Or, a family might be in intense distress and involved in multiple systems such as Children Services or the Juvenile Court. We are here to help and help you get connected to the right services and support in the community!
How Does it Work?
Step One
ā
Call 833-MOSAICU. Trained staff members are available by phone to answer your call 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The staff person will ask questions to get an understanding of what your child or family is struggling with and how we can help.ā
Step TWO
ā
āThe trained staff person will discuss what resources would be most helpful based on the challenge your child is experiencing. This could include connecting you with a resource, helping you to make an appointment with a provider, sending you to a provider for an assessment, assisting with de-escalation strategies, or in a crisis, deploying our Mosaic Project Mobile Response team to your location immediately. The team includes a family peer supporter and a licensed therapist. The team is available to respond seven days per week from 8 a.m. until midnight.
Step THREE
ā
A family peer supporter will follow-up with you within 24 hours of your call to check-in, submit referrals to services, answer any additional questions, provide further support or connect you with additional resources or services. A family peer supporter and therapist team can engage with your family for up to 4 weeks to ensure that you are connected to the services your family needs.
